Speaker: Stacy C. Hollander, senior curator and director of exhibitions, American Folk Art Museum
Hollander will focus on four American masters of 19th-century American folk portraiture who created a legacy of relatives, friends, and neighbors and provided a window into the development of a spirited and optimistic nation.
This series of talks examines art and artists represented in the exhibitions Jubilation|Rumination: Life, Real and Imagined and Compass: Folk Art in Four Directions from multiple perspectives.
